Kabale University hosts an orientation workshop for new and old staff members

Kabale University organized a one day orientation workshop Wednesday July 19th for both old and new staff members. It was organized to give information to new staff about the establishment of Kabale University and also introduce guidelines and structures in which Ministry of Public Service operates from. This included the history of Kabale University, the Mission and Vision, core values, code of conduct, governance and policy documents; this was highlighted by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Joy. C. Kwesiga.
The Assistant Commissioner Ministry of Public Service Mr. Davis Malowa was the main Facilitator of the workshop. He highlighted on the key duties expected of Staff members as public servants.
Other topics discussed included Channels of Communication, Quality Assurance, Policy on Academic growth, Human Resources, Staff welfare, and University support services (ICT, library and Finance).

In her closing remarks Professor Joy. C. Kwesiga welcomed and appreciated their acceptance to serve Kabale University
She appreciated the old Staff Members for the dedicated services and in particular those who stood firm and continued serving during the difficult transition times.
Kabale University is the first private University to be transformed into a public University. Kabale University was formerly established as a public University on the 16th of July 2015.
