Kabale University Hosts Guests from ABSA Bank

Today, Kabale University hosted a team of visitors from the ABSA bank Head Office and Kabale Branch. The team was led by the ABSA Kabale bank branch Manager Mr. Nicholas Turyamuhaki. They were received by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Joy Kwesiga at her office. She welcomed them to Kabale and in particular at Kabale University. She expressed her happiness at receiving them. She gave them a brief background of the university, its current status, and future growth aspirations.

The team discussed different avenues of engagement and possible partnerships in the future. Besides discussing the past engagements, the university has had with the bank, they also sought gaps in the university that the bank would be able to fill with its offerings.  The ABSA team was appreciative of the partnership the university has had with them over the years and in the service of the country by training professionals.

They also discussed possible future engagements and partnerships in the development of the university.  The team was composed of the Head of Legal and Company Secretary Mr. Edward Ochen, Ms. Gloria Kunihira, the Head of Products, Mr. Peter Mbowa, Head of the Treasury. The team promised that the bank shall donate a tent to the University for use in the university’s outdoor activities. The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the visit and welcomed the visitors to a guided tour of the university.
