Kabale University Alumnus Emanuel Nuwagaba Wins Prestigious UIPE Young Engineering Innovators Award
Kabale University proudly congratulates Emanuel Nuwagaba, an alumnus of Civil Engineering, on his recent recognition with the prestigious Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) Award for Young Engineering Innovators.
The UIPE honored Nuwagaba and three other young engineering innovators, awarding each UGX 5,000,000 to help scale their innovations into viable products. This initiative is part of the GCRF Africa Catalyst Phase 5 Project, supported by the Royal Academy of Engineering. The project, titled Strengthening the Institutional Framework of UIPE to Advance the Contribution of Engineering Professionals to the Innovation Value Chain in Uganda, aims to foster innovation and professional growth among engineers.
This marks the second time Nuwagaba has been recognized by UIPE, an achievement he believes will further boost his professional development and impact in the engineering sector.
The other successful awardees include:
- Mr. Kugonza Mpoza – Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Ndejje University
- Mr. Ssebagala Ivan – MSc Graduate in Materials Engineering, Busitema University
- Mr. Murungi Emanuel – Graduate of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Uganda Christian University
The awardees have officially signed their contracts and are set to embark on developing their innovative projects.
