Community outreach at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital
On Saturday 1st July 2017, the Department of Social Works and Social Administration carried out an outreach program with Kabale Regional referral hospital. The aim of the outreach was to work with patients and their families in need of psychosocial help and to assess the psychosocial functioning of patients and families and intervene as it may necessitate. The activities for the occasion included general cleaning of the hospital, provision of counseling/psychosocial therapy to individual patients, receiving training on prevention and treatment of mental illness in the community and charitable donation to patients at the Hospital.
The Head Department Mr. Adebayo led the delegation with the department students and staff members.
