University Annual Open Day 2019

Kabale University open day is carried out annually and different faculties showcase innovations from what they have invented.

Students from secondary schools and other institutions get a chance to interact with lecturers, Professors and other academicians for free career guidance, which helps to enhance their horizons towards their academic path.

The 15th March 2019 open day function begun with the guest of honor Prof. Mondo Kagonyera and other dignitaries leading a procession to inspect stalls where University faculties were showcasing different innovations in what they have learnt.

Notable among other guests that graced the occasion were, the Chairperson Kabale University Council, Hon. Manzi Tumubweine, Vice Chancellor Kabale University, Prof. Joy C Kwesiga, Commissioner for Higher Education Ministry of Education, Madam Jolly Uzamukunda Karabaye, Canon Henry Turyagyenda members of Staff Kabale University, Parents/ guardians and Students.

In his words Prof. Mondo Kagonyera applauded Kabale University staff and students for being so innovative and appealed to them to go an extra mile in Research as we are in a global world and above all to be disciplined because “ Knowledge without discipline is like an uncontrolled Vehicle,’’ he said.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Joy C Kwesiga in her remarks thanked staff and students for the step they’ve taken in as far as research and encouraged them to aim higher because the sky is no longer the limit. She went ahead to say that Kabale University will be launching a new program for science students, who fail to raise two principle, passes at A level but are creative.
