Kabale University on Friday launched the Interdisciplinary Research Journal, with the aim of creating an international image of the University through producing researched articles.
An academic journal is a type of periodical that includes original research articles written by researchers and experts in a particular academic discipline, including professors, providing a forum for the production and critique of knowledge.
During the function to launch the academic journal dubbed “Kabale University Interdisciplinary Research Journal (KURJ), the Coordinator of Higher Degrees, Research and Publications at Kabale University and also the journal Editor in Chief, Prof Siraje Kaaya, said that he initiated the introduction of the journal at the University after finding out that there was a big gap in disseminating researched information and innovations within the University.
He added that KURJ is focusing on the development and continental growth of academic publications by providing a medium for intellectual exchange and interactions amongst scholars, which he hopes will affect the positive rankings of the University.
