Kabale University awards honorary degrees
On Saturday, 24th June 2017, Kabale University had a colourful event on which former members of the University Governing Organs and promoters were recognized and gallant members of the community awarded Honorary Degrees.
The Chancellor Professor Mondo Kagonyera conferred Honorary Degrees upon the following:
- Mzee Festo Karwemera
Doctor of Literature – Education (Honoris Causa) - Hon Philemon Mateke
Doctor of Liberal Arts (Honoris Causa) - Mr. James Garuga Musinguzi
Doctor of Business (Honoris Causa) - Professor Peter Ndimbirwe Mugyenyi
Doctor of Science – Medicine (Honoris Causa)
Prof. Fredrick B Kayanja gave a keynote address and charged University Management with ensuring that Kabale University is transformed into “The University”.
The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
