Kabale University Convocation: Congratulations and Welcome to All Graduands
Kabale University Convocation Association extends heartfelt congratulations to all graduands of the 9th graduation ceremony! On behalf of the Convocation, we are thrilled to welcome you to this prestigious Association. As new members, you now join a vibrant community dedicated to fostering a strong connection between the University and its alumni.
Objectives of the Convocation:
- Promote the University’s Image: The Convocation strives to maintain a positive image of Kabale University within and beyond the academic community.
- Strengthen Communication: It provides a platform for communication between Convocation members, University Management, and the University Governing Bodies.
- Advise the University: Members take an active interest in the affairs of the University and, where appropriate, provide advice on matters of mutual concern.
- Build Responsibility: We foster a sense of responsibility, obligation, and accountability among members towards the University and the broader community.
- Resource Mobilization: The Convocation undertakes resource mobilization to support ventures that benefit both members and the University.
Membership to the Convocation:
As outlined in Section 70 of the University Act, the following are eligible for membership:
- Graduates of Kabale University
- Serving members of Kabale University staff
- Other persons authorized by the University Council
Membership is granted upon payment of a membership fee and registration in the Convocation’s official register. Active participation in Convocation activities is encouraged for registered members who have paid their annual subscription.
Membership and Subscription Fees:
- Membership Fee: UGX 20,000 (paid during the graduation clearing process)
- Annual Subscription Fee: UGX 20,000 (payable annually after graduation)
We encourage all members to remain active by paying their annual subscriptions and participating in Convocation activities.
