KAB Student Represents Uganda at Mister Universe Tourism in Bali, Indonesia

Henrick Twesigye, a first-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Design and Fine Art at Kabale University, recently made his mark on the global stage as he represented Uganda at the prestigious Mister Universe Tourism pageant held in Bali, Indonesia. Twesigye, also the reigning Mr. Tourism Kigezi region, emerged as the chosen delegate from the region to showcase Uganda’s cultural richness and tourism potential at the international event.

The 5th edition of Mister Universe Tourism, themed “Men of Honor, Intellect & Substance,” took place in Bali, Indonesia, from March 14th to 26th, 2024. This edition of the pageant aimed to celebrate the resilience and excellence of individuals in the face of adversity, highlighting the importance of culture, heritage, and tourism in shaping global identities.

Mister Universe Tourism advocates for the promotion of tourism through digital marketing in the new normal era, recognizing the pivotal role of technology in showcasing destinations to a global audience.

The competition featured various stages and awards, including Mr. Photogenic, Mr. Multimedia, Mr. Congeniality, Best in Swimwear, Best in National Costume, Best in Formal Wear, and Best in Resort Wear. Contestants were required to adhere to specific wardrobe requirements for each stage, reflecting their country’s unique identity and style.

The coronation night of Mister Universe Tourism 2024 took place at the prestigious Bali Nusa Dua Theater on March 24th, 2024, at 8 pm (GMT +8). Situated in the heart of Bali, Indonesia’s most famous island, the theater boasts a capacity of 600 and is renowned for its world-class facilities and international standards.

Twesigye’s participation in the pageant not only showcased his personal charisma and talent but also served as a platform to promote Kabale University and Uganda’s rich cultural heritage and tourism attractions to a global audience. His journey exemplifies the spirit of excellence and determination nurtured at Kabale University.
