Kabale University Explores Strategic Academic Partnership with Romania’s University of Life Sciences “King Mihai I”

Kabale University continues to strengthen its international engagement agenda through strategic academic partnerships aimed at advancing teaching, research, and community impact.
On 15th December 2025, the Vice Chancellor of Kabale University, Prof. Joy Constance Kwesiga, received Mr. Marian Venus Volintiru, who paid a courtesy call on behalf of the University of Life Sciences “King Mihai I” from Timişoara (ULST), Romania. ULST is a public higher education and scientific research institution with a strong focus on life sciences and applied research.
The engagement brought together the University Management team, led by the Vice Chancellor and accompanied by the Academic Registrar and other senior managers, to deliberate on potential areas of collaboration. Discussions centered on strengthening cooperation in teaching and learning, joint research initiatives, staff and student exchanges, and community engagement programmes that align with the shared academic priorities of both institutions.
Both parties expressed mutual interest in formalizing the partnership and agreed to proceed with the necessary processes to conclude the collaboration framework. The prospective partnership is expected to open new avenues for knowledge exchange, international exposure, and collaborative research that contributes to global and regional development goals.
Mr. Volintiru was accompanied by Mr. Ivan Twinobusingye during the visit.
