The Vice-Chancellor of Université de Ngozi visits Kabale University.
This follows the University exchange program between the two Universities under the Institute of Languages.
On 13th January 2019, students of Université de Ngozi in Burundi reported to Kabale University for a one-month English language enhancement programme. This is part of a student exchange programme which has been on since 2012 when an agreement of collaboration was entered into by the two universities.
Students of both universities have been benefiting from this collaboration. Kabale University sends students of French pursuing degrees in Education to Université de Ngozi to enhance their French whereas Ngozi sends students pursuing a degree in Translation and Interpretation Studies to enhance their English.
This January, Université de Ngozi sent twenty-six (26) students. In addition to attending English enhancement classes, they take off some time to tour some locations in Kigezi. During such tours the Burundian students get an opportunity to interact with the local community.
The program at Kabale University is managed by the Institute of Languages under coordination by Mr. Maurice Mugenga Kaitaba and, his colleague, Mrs. Maria Goretti Adubo Bbaale.
